OnLINE personal training

working out with a personal trainer online

Online personal training is similar to in person personal training, but it’s done without the person to person contact. Online personal training became extremely popular during the Covid 19 pandemic, as many personal trainers adapted their training methods to accommodate stay at home orders.

Online personal training typically takes place through individual sessions, though it can be done via group sessions as well. Typically a trainer will use a program like FaceTime, Zoom or Skype to conduct online personal training sessions with their clients. Some personal trainers also offer pre-recorded sessions or classes.

Online personal training is also commonly referred to as virtual personal training.

When opting for individualized personal training sessions, online personal trainers like those at Invictus Fitness, can provide you with customized fitness plans that are tailored to your specific needs and goals. Here at Invictus Fitness, we've found online personal training to be particularly beneficial to clients who travel often or have special health concerns and/or needs that make training in person more of a challenge.

Online personal training can have many benefits, including:

  • Convenience: You can work out from the comfort of your own home, or anywhere else with an internet connection. Like one on one personal training, you’ll have access to your online personal trainer, so you can get help and support when you need it. Online personal training also allows you to work out with a trainer anywhere, as long as they offer the service.

  • Flexibility: Busy schedules can often make it difficult for people to find the time to commit to a workout routine. Online personal training removes that obstacle and allows for more flexibility in scheduling.

  • Accountability: Working with a personal trainer, whether in person or online, provides accountability for your workouts. This accountability can be a great motivator to help you stay on track with your fitness goals. On your own, it’s very easy to find an excuse to skip a work out. Working with a personal trainer keeps you accountable.

  • Motivation: An online personal trainer provides motivation and support to help you reach your fitness goals. They'll be there to encourage you, push you when you need it, and support you every step of the way.

  • Cost: Online personal training is often more affordable than one on one personal training, as your personal trainer won’t have the additional cost of traveling to you.

  • Health Concerns: For someone who is immunocompromised or at greater risk of adverse events during something like a pandemic or flu season, online personal training can help you continue/embark on a fitness routine, and get the benefits of personal training without having to worry about one-on-one contact.
